Summer sewing, retro swimmer doll

With the summer almost around the corner now, I really wanted to make a beauty who is ready to go for a swim! and with my love for retro / vintage look I put her in a forties style bikini.

Her arms are articulated and all her clothes (apart from her little bow), come out!

Her pattern will be in all my shops next week! please leave any comments or questions at the end of this post! thanks!

Elsie the elephant amigurumi doll

My new pattern, I have drawn her a long time ago, but I never really agree with myself about colours for the ears, then last week I started playing around with some yarn and the ears where done! it was then a matter of finishing the body! I guess you might say a very different approach to design, ears first and then the rest!. But here she is! available now for instant download now on my Etsy  store and all my other stores, isn't she a beauty?

I made a cute little tail on her as well

Old lace vintage crochet

Last time my mum came to visit she brought with her this piece of crochet that I made when I was a teenager, I was quite shocked to see this work again!.

I clearly remember making it!, how many hours did I do this for?... I really cannot answer that, but seeing it again makes me think of all the people who always ask me when I started crocheting, well the answer is: a long long time ago!

I really like it, it consist of 4 panels, I was probably going for a bed cover.
I used a 1.25mm crochet hook! now that is old school!

I am thinking of very carefully cut it and make a dress or top for the girls. I have some beautiful flowery cotton which will make the crochet stand up! so keep tune for a step by step tutorial coming up soon!
